Youtube friend tag

     A couple days ago I created my very first Youtube video, I did a friend tag with my good friend Kristen. A freind tag is when you ask questions about yourself and at the end you find out who knows who more. Kristen started with the first question which was, " What was the strangest experience I have encountered?". It took a long time for me to think but then I answered," ME!", I was correct. So we went on until we reached the last question which was mine and I asked," What Star Wars character can I sound like the most?". She quessed the correct answer which was chewbacca( sorry I forgot how to spell that word!) Then we made the conclusion of my video. We had a lot of fun asking and answering each others questions.

Kid Nation 7

      I believe the first idea presented in this video is Deviance. In this video several children represent this type of behavior in Bonanza. Mostly everyone believes that this behavior is shown by Taylor, the former yellow district council member. She does not work hard at all and does not even listen. For example, when they had to take care of the garbage Taylor threw a fit and didn't help at all. That was why I believe deviance is presented in this video.

      The second idea represented in the video shown is Social Sanctions. This is shown in this video by town meeting. The town meeting is held at the end of each week when the council will reward one person with a gold star. This reward is presented to a person who works hard for the sake of the town and does not give up. That was the reason why I believe social sanctions is shown in this video.

      The last idea presented is Stigma. This idea is shown by jealousy of one kid to another. No matter what at least one kid is jealous and doe not like a person because of what they do. For example, a red district boy became jealous of one of the girls because she as getting more money with a snack stand she was running, so he took his jealousy out on her and destroyed her stand. When he did this everyone was against him until he apologized and realized what he did was wrong. That was why I think stigma is represented in this video shown.

Kid Nation 5

       I believe that the first idea shown in this video is Group. This is shown ny the town council. The town council  wakes up every other day at 5:30 to read the pioneer book, to get ideas on how to run the town. They all are there to help pick up the town and revive the dead town. They also all have to work together to make there group one and not appose to each other. That is why I believe group is shown.

       The second idea I believe is presented is Social Category. This is shown by the whole town because they are all there to be pioneers together. They are all there trying to build a town as children because they are not adults; the oldest one in the town is 15 years old. This reason proves that most of them are around the same age and there for the same reason.That is why I believe social group is presented here.

        

      The last idea presented is Secondary Group. This is shown by the way the town is split into groups as the upper class, merchants, cooks, and laborers. They all are working on the same goals but they might not like each other or get along. For example, the cooks do not get along while they are not working but they all come together to cook for everyone.That is why I believe secondary group is shown in this video.

Kid Nation 4

    The first idea presented in this video is Achieved Status. This is shown by the classes, like upper class or merchants. The people in the upper class recieved upper class by winning the challenge. They earned upper class because they worked hard for it and they earned the opprotunity.
 

     The other idea shown is Master Status. This is demonstrated to us by everyone there in the town. Everyone has an other status like they can be a brother or sister. Although they have these statuses held with them at all time, in the town they have a dominate status that they need to focus on to help the town. For example the cooks have to dedicate there own time to feed the people of the town.
 
   
      I believe the last idea demonstrated is Ascribed Status. This is shown by the challenges that they face to  get the classes. If they lose they can become laborers and if they win they become upper class. They can't choose what the challenge they face or if they win . They can't expect anything about the challenges and they can't prepare for them either.

     I believe the first idea presented in this video is Authority. This is shown by the town council because the town council helps lead the town and helps show people how to build the town. They are the leaders of the town and the desision makers. For example, after each challenge, if they win, the council makes a desision on what they want as a prize. That is why I believe authority is represented in the video.

                                                                                                                                                                         The next idea I believe is shown is Cooperation. This is shown by all of the groups coming together to build a town. There is the red team, blue team, green team, and red team are the groups working together to make a town. For example, the town council chose a certain amount of people to help take out and exterminate the garbage to keep the town healthy. That is why I chose cooperation.

     The last idea presented is Formal Organization. This idea is represented in the video by the types of class someone is in. There is four classes upper class, merchants, cooks, and laborers. For example, the merchants work at the stores like the candy store and the pub. Those were the reasons why I believe the idea of formal organization is presented.
